San Juan Unit 5 Combined Cycle Plant SCR Equipment for Vogt Power’s HRSG
VECTOR SYSTEMS RECEIVES ORDER FROM VOGT POWER
McKinney, Texas, August 2, 2020 – Vector Systems, Inc., announces that it has received an order from Vogt Power a Subsidiary of Babcock Power for a power plant in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The equipment will be incorporated into the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) San Juan Unit 5 Combined Cycle Plant. The plant consists of two (2) one-on-one combined cycle units that currently operate on #2 diesel fuel.
New Fortress Energy is completing a duel fuel conversion (natural gas firing capability addition) of San Juan Combined Cycle Unit 5. As part of that work, NFE will also be adding a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and Catalytic Oxidation (CO) to the heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) on Unit 5.
This is a continued partnership between Vogt and Vector having already completed over 20 projects for fabrication of process skids for SCR applications at various plants. Vector’s scope includes the ammonia unloading station with unloading pumps, ammonia pump skid, ASME Sec VIII Div 1 20,000 gallon aqueous ammonia tank, and an electric ammonia processing skid with dual electric 300kW heaters. Vector has extensive experience with over 500 fabricated skids for processing and controlling ammonia skids to meet the clients needs for SCR application.
