Vector Systems, Inc is a Proud Partner with YMC on an expansion of the power plant at the Yokota Air Force Base

Posted in Current News

Vector Systems, Inc is partnered with YMC on the construction and expansion of the power plant in Yokota, Japan, Air Force Base.  Vector is working in conjunction with Schneider Electric and Jacobs Engineering to provide multiple process skids and pressure vessels for the plant including the fuel gas conditioning skid, ASME pressure vessel for ammonia storage, chemical storage and supply, multiple pump skids as well as the condensate and deaerator systems.

In speaking with the Director of Sales at Vector Systems, Brett Montague indicated Vector was very excited to be a part of this plant expansion, as well as personally as a former member of the US military it felt extremely rewarding to assist the base with their strategic power demands and energy efficiency.

The plant is expected to be completed in 2023 and will help reduce dependency on the Tama power grid by producing 10mW and will return some power to the local grid when supply exceeds demand.

Additional details and continued reading about the power plant expansion is located at the 5th Airforce.
